Do You Believe In Astrology?

Astrology exists since thousand years. An art for some people, a science for believers in it, a waste of time for many… This post will not discuss about astrology in great detail or whatever, I will just give my opinions what I think on it.

I remember when I was about 7 years old, a Chinese couple came at my neighbor’s house. I was at my neighbor at that time, and suddenly, the conversation turned on astrology. My mother was there as well, so the Chinese couple said that they know how to observe hand to predict the future. Cool! So as a curious little boy, I sat down on the sofa and listened to the fabulous conversations they had to each other on astrology. My mother gave her hand to the Chinese woman to see her future, and the woman told her there will be a time where my mother will be ill. Some years later, my mother did have many health complications and she is still having until now, but has that Chinese woman told the truth? Not really! My mother is quite old, so it is normal for an older person to be ill.

About 5 years ago, my brother’s brought his French friend at my house for a dinner. The guy claimed he is a numerologist, well, it is not that quite different from an astrologist. He played with some numbers and so on, and said some things that will be happened, which most of them truly happened. He told on me I will be famous one day, well, I am still not,  so I hope so!  From all of these, has astrology played an important role? I will say no again!

The concept of astrology is huge, we cannot classify astrology as a science because if we look thousand of years ago, ancient civilizations like the Mayans or ancient Indians and Chinese took astrology as a spiritual art. Today, astrology is a business. You see your horoscopes everyday on newspapers, on the internet, and much more. Astrologists often take large amount of money. We always hear individuals will go to an astrologist but now, even businesses seek their help. I know a finance company which has its own astrologist to predict the global market, Wall Street’s future trends, and many stock exchange affairs…

If you want to learn astrology, you can learn it on the web nowadays…and you can study books, later to open your own office, make thousands of dollars, and voila, you are rich like a BOSS! As you are aware, so many frauds also exist… They claim to predict the future or your destiny when they do not know a damn thing. Anyone can claim he or she is an astrologist, or has spiritual powers or whatever…

Personally, I do not believe in astrology because it is always wrong. For you perhaps it predicts your future truly. Well, we did have very good predictions many years ago, such as the Mayans’ predictions, and so on.. They were good in astrology. Ancient Chinese and Indians also were extremely experts in astrology. I am not saying we do not have good astrologists today even this job is mainly for business, however, there are still honest guys who really care astrology as a spiritual art rather than business. In India, astrology is a very essential aspect, Indians usually consult an astrologist in marriage, business, and so on… Many Indian priests study astrology, I think because it is a matter which deals with Hinduism.

The reason why I do not believe in astrology is simply because it is not accurate. Evey year, some newspapers in my country consult some astrologists in different communities to predict the future for the welfare of our nation. You know what? 99% of their so-called predictions are wrong. I do not know why these newspapers give them importance. How can you believe someone who says he or she can predict the future when this same person cannot predict his or her own future? Now, you get the point what I mean! Moreover, anybody can adopt this art of prediction.. I will give you a simple example below, let’s say I am an astrologist and these are my following predictions:

In the coming years, more natural disasters will occur, many will die, a harmful disease will make its apparition, the temperature will rise too much and many will not be able to live…

Well, as you above, I wrote the future, but what is so amazing in it? Nothing! I said there will be more natural disasters, everyone knows there will be a rise in natural disasters, even science is telling this since some years…so nothing new..and it is normal. In addition, I mentioned a harmful disease will make its apparition, so what? If a disease will come, it will come! I stated the temperature will rise, again what is so new? Nothing, everybody knows there is global warming and this is something natural in a way. We do not need an astrologist to tell us of these craps when we already know they are happening and they will continue to happen in the future. Unfortunately, there are some people who have no brain on this earth, claiming that astrology is the answer for all!

Top 5 Famous Ancient Civilizations

When we think the ancient eras, we get an impression that how beautiful and how cruel they were! At the time I am writing this post, we are in year 2012, now imagine, we will discuss civilizations which are dated thousands of years ago, we can say, let’s travel in the past…

Our brothers and sisters in the ancient civilizations had not known advanced technologies or a revolution in industries like us, but they were enough intelligent in several different fields which I will discuss later. They were the witnesses of the most famous and most debatable mysteries in our world today, which scientists, ufologists and archeologists are spending huge time to unveil the truth like the ways the pyramids had been constructed or if aliens had visited us before, and many others…

This article is based on the top 5 famous ancient civilizations which we usually hear most of the time. We cannot change histories, we cannot forget the past, we need the past to think of today and to build the tomorrow, to be precise, we cannot erase the time.

Vikings

They had many Gods, a God for the rain, a God for the sun, a God for this and that, they were usually on their long boats and they are the Vikings! The Vikings civilization is classified as the Vikings Age, normally, the Vikings were brave, spent their time in commerce and their dark side was they were also pirates.

The people of Vikings were Norsemen, descended from the Danish and the Norwegian, who traveled in North European regions on their long ships with their swords. The origin of the Vikings is said to be in the beginning of 800s, and one interesting fact of the Vikings, they believed in various types of superstitions.  They took the sun and moon eclipses as a sign of the end of the world. In fact, they even named the sun as the wolf God because when a sun eclipse occurred, they think that God was swallowing the moon entirely! To fight this, they used to shout at the sun or the wolf God as they used to call it to make it afraid. once the eclipse ended, they were happy as they thought that with their shouts and anger, the wolf God (Sun) was scared.

The Vikings civilization ended in 13th century, event that, they are still popular in novels, politics, movies, etc… A great civilization who were passionate of mysteries and strong believers in the supernatural. We still have some communities to revive the moments of the Vikings today, some of them adopt the entire styles of the Vikings, but the real Vikings do not exist anymore.

Ancient Egypt

When we hear Ramses, the first thing which comes into our mind is pyramids. The Ancient Egypt is one of the oldest civilizations on our earth. We are all fascinated with pyramids, the Pharaohs’ curses, the Nile river or the Egyptian cultures.

The Ancient Egypt civilization began about 3000 BC, and was composed of different communities, religious leaders, slaves and so on. This civilization was tremendously curious of life and they were very superstitious.  The Pharaohs used to adopt many Gods, followed various traditions and cultures. One of the remarkable aspects of the Ancient Egyptian community was the construction of pyramids. These huge giant pyramids in accurate size remain among the biggest mysteries in the world. Scientists have argued a ton of theories to debate on the construction of pyramids but not all make sense.

The Ancient Egypt had a strict economic system. Everything was controlled by the Pharaohs themselves. It was absolutely a dictatorship system. Concerning the famous curses of the ancient Egyptians which we usually hear, it is said that they were true. Taking an example, when some archeologists discovered the tomb of Tutankhamun in 1922, each of them died in mysterious ways after that.

Another mysterious fact of the Ancient Egyptians is the communication between them and Alien. Many ufologists think the Ancient Egyptians established a proper relationship with the extraterrestrials. In fact that is how the pyramids were built with the help of Aliens.To say whether this fact is true or not, personally I do not know but if we see the drawings in pyramids or in their tombs, the coded messages they had transmitted, it can make sense that Aliens were their friends!

We continue to ask ourselves, which technology they had use in their era to build the pyramids, why they were so fascinated about Gods and life, why they were so mysterious, all I can say, the Ancient Egyptian civilization remains my best classified civilization all the time. When I think of Egypt, it reminds me of my ex girlfriend, Allison as she is a passionate of Egyptian stuffs and so on…

Roman Empire

They had ruled several territories for about 500 years, they were the Roman civilization, in proper terms, the Roman Empire. If you have watched the movie Gladiator or know Julius Cesar, you know what I am talking about…

The Roman Empire had conquered many countries we know today like Greece, Spain, UK, France and a dozen others… What was surprising with the Roman Empire is that they had not only warriors but also very good artists. Some of these artists are still acclaimed today. They engaged themselves in a kind of sport where there was a horse and a chariot racing, a Hippodrome! It was a dangerous race, because the horses must go around a circle many times very fast, and as the chariot is heavy, sometimes they lost control and lead to accidents. This sport is still practicing today in the memorial of the Roman Empire.

The Roman Empire was normally very severe when governing, everything had to be made under their orders. They had a huge army, ready to face any kind of war. Their weapons were advanced and their costumes were made of metals to protect them from head, body to toe.

We cannot forget their gorgeous architectures they built their buildings. Some architectures are Gothic designs in a unique way. According to some historians, the Roman Empire were very advanced in constructions, and they built many types of buildings to enrich the beauty of their areas. An example is their amphitheaters they used to build! On most of their architectures, you will find beautiful arts, paintings, statues etc… They were very addicted to art.

In 480 AD, the Roman Empire was disappeared. Their only souvenirs remain are their buildings and arts.

Ancient Greece

Greece, a country of dreams, where you will want to stay forever if you are a passionate of histories. So sad, just recently this country has started having severe economic problems! Well, we are not here to talk about the current Greece but the ancient one.

Just like the ancient Egyptians, the ancient Greeks had many Gods. Zeus, as a great example! The ancient Greeks created the Olympic games, they discovered scientific facts, how can we forget them? Perhaps you are living in a country where there is democracy, but do you know that it was the ancient Greeks who invented democracy? Yes, they invented democracy, unfortunately, not every citizen benefited from it. Not all kinds of people had the right to vote as well.

The most famous persons in the ancient Greece is no doubt Aristotle, a philosopher who was well-known for writing hundreds of articles on different topics like science, metaphysics and much more. Aristotle was born on 384BC. He lived about 60 years. He recommended the five elements (Earth, water, fire, air and aether), he released his own opinions on motion, politics, biology and metaphysics etc… Not all of his facts were widely acclaimed, he got many criticisms in his resolution of thought.

The ancient Greeks were good artists, particularly in architectures. For examples of some popular constructions they made are: The Parthenon, The Theater and Temple of Apollo, Temple of Zeus, and others…

Today, we often take many facts from the ancient Greeks, we used them in poems, in science or philosophy. The ancient Greece was formed in the 8th century BC and existed for about 1300 years…

Maya

Here is the last top five ancient civilization, the Maya! Oh my God, I love this civilization, I love Maya, seriously guys, give a big respect to them!

The Mayans existed since 2000BC to 240AD in the pre-Columbian regions. What is surprising with the Mayans was the curiosity they had in life, their accurate scientific discoveries, believe me, they were good in Mathematics, Astronomy and also Astrology. We forgot them some years ago before we started talking about 2012, in other words, the end of the world!

The Mayans had predicted many events in this world which most turned true. Their scientific knowledge was accurate, does this mean on 2012 is the last day on earth? Who knows! They argued their calendar will end on 21st December 2012, let’s wait if really something terrible will happen! I am impatient and what about you?

If we take a look of the Mayan arts, I mean painting, they have some similarities of the ancient Egyptians. You will notice some real strange figures are included, I am not saying about Aliens here, but if you know about ancient astronauts, then you will understand. Another similarity the had with the ancient Egyptians is the pyramids. The Mayans constructed pyramids in accurate position and size! Sometimes I am asking myself why this mystery of pyramids is so vast, I mean why pyramids? Their architectures were mostly the same.

To conclude on the Maya, frankly saying, this civilization really amazed me, how could they be so intelligent? They did not have advanced telescopes but they predicted Astronomy without mistakes, I am serious here, wish I was a Mayan, I would love to be born in their era!

2012, A Myth Or Reality?

OK, you are aware our world will end on 2012? Funny right, but it is true for some guys! Let’s study this topic…

The concept that the world will end on 2012 is originated from the Maya, a civilization existed during 2000 BC to 900 AD in the South American countries. Today, a small Mayan  community does exist but they are not like their ancestors were before, in other words, they can be considered as modern Mayans. The Mayans were intelligent, they were recognized for their contributions in Astronomy and Mathematics. They had constructed several pyramids which are still exist today as illustrated below:

According to the Mayan prophecies, their calendar ends on December 2012! It is important to state that ONLY their calendar will end on 2012, not the world. Rumors and misinterpretations of their prophecies have brainwashed millions of people globally that the world will end on 2012. What is disturbing, the persistent increase in fake information on internet have really affected the mind of people. Even a movie has been released on 2012 which in another sense, jeopardized viewers to display how the world will end with huge Tsunamis, earthquakes, etc…

Moreover, it is not the first time we are hearing that the world will end on a particular date. Recently, a Christian pastor in US argued the world will end on May 2011 based on his calculations on the Holy Bible, did the world end? No! Theories similar like this exist in hundreds! If you study sacred books, they did give us signs before the doomsday occurs, thus, we cannot say when it will end, human beings cannot predict when this day will happen, except we all know that the Sun will die in 5 billion years and so our earth!
