Just imagine you are a farmer who have a dozen of animals: cattle, hens, etc. One morning you wake up to see your animals, to your utter amazement, you find all dead. You start panicking, you think someone killed them, but your neighbor tells you, it is the Chupacabra which is responsible for everything!
What is Chupacabra?
The Chupacabra is considered as a cryptid, in proper terms, a creature which is still unknown to science. The first time we have heard about it was in the middle of 1990s, where some inhabitants in Puerto Rico, discovered that many of their pets and farm animals were dead in a mysterious way.
According to some witnesses, they saw the creature was quite big, with thorns on its back, red eyes, very ugly and scary, and could fly from branches to branches. The Chupacabra attacked only animals. It has been reported that all these animals were dead with severe mutilations. What is strange, it gave the impression their body was mutilated by someone who is a professional in surgical.
More of its sightings were recorded in other Central American and North American countries.
Evidence, bring it!
The only evidence was from witnesses and they are not credible! A paranormal researcher even tried to capture the creature by placing some molds which he got several results. Nevertheless, it is said all his tests were debunked as fake. A farmer thought he shot a Chupacabra with his gun at night but the latter successfully escaped. On the next day, he saw some vultures in a crop, he stopped to see what was that and he saw it was the same creature he shot the other day. He brought it to the local university for further examinations, the result came out, it was just a dog.
There is no credible evidence how was the Chupacabra looked like. In fact, people did not know what really killed their animals, a word just appeared, and they called it Chupacabra without knowing what it was. Superstitions are common in these countries, hence, all sorts of thing were invented to get attention which have made many scared.
Experts argued the Chupacabra was nothing but a stray dog, coyote or other carnivore animal. Other schools of thought said, the animals died in natural conditions, and they even proved that these mutilations have been done by meat flies, maggots and worms. These little creatures can eat flesh rapidly and clean the blood as well.
Extraterrestrial beings, Satanic rituals and genetic engineering
We must not forget Puerto Rico has the Arecibo radar dish, to search for extraterrestrial life. It has been reported, some Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) often passed before each attack of Chupacabra. The local inhabitants thought that the animals may have been killed by aliens for testings.
Satanic rituals were on the table among the possible causes of these barbaric attacks. Local citizens thought perhaps these animals were killed by Satan worshipers. Witchcraft is common in Central American countries.
Finally, some paranormal researchers thought perhaps the government was working on a secret project based on genetic engineering. The government modified the genes of some animals to create a monster.
Conclusion
Something or someone killed these animals, we all agree with this! However, which or who committed these atrocities? We do not know! We cannot rely on superstitions from the local inhabitants because they did not know what caused everything, they just thought it was a monster. Based on the scientific claims and theories, there is a greater chance these animals were killed by stray dogs or natural conditions. Even that, the mystery continues…
