The Life Of Anneliese Michel, Demonic Possession Or Mental Disorder?

Perhaps you have watched it, you liked it, you found it creepy and realistic, I am talking the movie “The Exorcism of Emily Rose“, released in 2005. Jennifer Carpenter, the actress in the movie was absolutely amazing in her roles, I must say she played everything perfectly, in fact she got 3 awards for it: MTV Movie Award for Best Frightened Performance, MTV Movie Award for Best Breakthrough Performance (Nominated) and Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actress (Nominated). Perhaps you did not know the first time you watched the movie is that in reality, the story is based on the life of Anneliese Michel, the most famous exorcism and demonic possession case in the paranormal world. You search for exorcism on the web, you end on Anneliese Michel. But who is she?

Anneliese Michel lived in Germany, born on 21st September 1952. She came from a strict Catholic family and was considered as a timid girl by many persons. According to some researches I made, she had not that freedom to enjoy her life, due to her family where religion was their first pillar, Anneliese had to obey mostly everything. All happened when she was about 15-16, her health started deteriorating. It is said sometimes she heard voices guiding her to commit something. Her problem increased day by day, thus her family brought her to the hospital, and where the doctors said she was having Epilepsy and prescribed her some medicines. Unfortunately, her problems continued to persist, sometimes Anneliese did not only heard voices, but also had creepy hallucinations. She argued that demon faces kept appearing to her. Even she got medicines to combat hallucinations and other related stuffs, Anneliese thought that it was not Epilepsy she was having, but possessed by a demon. As her family was Catholic, and saw that there was no change in Anneliese’s health, they decided to bring her to some priests. Anneliese could not resist religious objects like the Cross (Crucifix), holy water and so on… By scholars, it is said she became angry when she saw something religious or went to a holy place. When her family brought her to some priests to know more what was really happening to her, to their utter amazement, the priests said to them to continue the medical treatment. However, Anneliese was not convinced that she was having a mental problem, she kept thinking she was possessed by the devil, and for her, it was only religion which could cure her. One thing which I am not sure is whether Anneliese herself stopped her medical treatment or the priests told her, but she did halt her medical treatment. Her family brought her to some priests again to know what could be done to save Anneliese, most of the priests refused to proceed a religious treatment on her, nevertheless, only one priest accepted to perform an exorcism, and he was Father Renz, after getting the permission from the Bishop. The exorcism was performed on Anneliese, in fact, she had several exorcism sessions after that. Again here, she was not cured, she had changed, she was not that Anneliese before, some months later, she died when she was sleeping and it was on 1st July 1976.  The priest  involved in the exorcism  did face legal charges after Anneliese’s death.

Above is a brief story of Anneliese Michel, and many questions have raised since her death. Anneliese’s story is still famous, however, the real question is “What really happened to her?”. Was she possessed or she was having only mental issues? There are many facts on her life, for example, I have read somewhere where a nun told her family that Anneliese’s body was still intact in the cemetery. If I am not mistaken, her family did proceed to an exhumation, the rest of the story I do not know but if you know what happened, do comments!  Some of the important facts in her story are, Anneliese usually heard voices telling her to do something etc.. This can be classified as a metal problem, of course, hearing voices does not mean you have been possessed. More than that, she stopped her medical treatment, does this mean if she continued to take her medicines, her health would be ameliorate? Perhaps yes and no as well, because she herself stated many times these medicines were nothing and she continued to be ill. I do not know if her family brought her to the hospital again to negotiate to the doctors that her medicines were useless, and the latter would change them but if not, they could do that. Last thing which I am interested is Anneliese could not see religious stuffs. For me, this is an essential fact here, because I do not think there is a mental problem to make you hate God, religion or whatever… Personally I believe, the hatred she had for religion or God did not come from any mental disorder, as it can be considered as a sign of possession.

You feel sad when you hear her story… You ask yourself what really happened, what is the truth, or is there any conspiracy behind it! Demonic possession or mental disorder, we cannot say anything, all what we can say to her is rest in peace…

Exorcism!

It is very rare to witness an exorcism session nowadays because people do not believe in it, particularly those who prefer science as the answer of all questions. Exorcism is a scary topic, when you hear about it, your blood starts flowing faster in your veins…

When I was possessed in 2006,  I had an exorcism session. The person who did it is not a priest, but someone who has a force within him, I mean spiritual force. Have you ever heard of “Jinn” or “Djinn”? It signifies “genie” in English, bear in mind,it is completely different from that genie in Aladdin cartoon, here I am talking of a being, but different from us. Jinn in Islam religion represents an important aspect because according to Islamic scholars and verses, it is said that God created Jinn with fire and humans with soil. I was a Muslim before becoming  an Agnostic. Well, if I have to write on that man, this will be very long, all I can say, he walks with good spiritual force. During my exorcism session, that man narrated many verses on me, until that bastard bad spirit came out from my body. I will not write on my paranormal experiences or how I felt during that exorcism session, to conclude on this topic, fortunately I am safe  since that day.

That was not my personal exorcism experience, I did assist others as well. I even saw a woman being cured by a spiritual person, if I tell you the process, you may be scared, but I will continue anyway… The woman sat silently, perhaps she was a bit scared, during the process, after some minutes, the woman stared becoming angry, so angry until her voice completely changed. She even started laughing loudly, like a mad person, started to play with her hairs and so on… All I know, the woman wanted to get a child, but in vain, and the spiritual man who has performed the exorcism session told her that a bad spirit was within her which was the main reason why she could not get a child. When the person was performing the exorcism, the woman suddenly said in a loud weird voice: “I did it, I did it, I’ve hidden it in the cemetery, I did it with her underwear, clothes and combs…” Actually, it was not the woman who was talking, but the bad spirit using the woman’s body to speak. The spiritual man kept asking many things and the bad spirit answered everything. It was the woman’s sister-in-law who performed the black magic on her. At the end, everything was fine, the bad spirit went away from the woman. I have heard also, the woman’s family has gone to the cemetery, and it was true that her clothes and some objects were hidden under a tree. No doubt, black magic ritual!

You know, many people do not believe in exorcism because they do not believe in paranormal, or think only that nothing like a demonic possession will happen to us. I love science a lot, but science does not answer every question. In fact I am a skeptic guy, I always use my brain to think, however, many things in life are unexplained! Exorcism must be performed by someone professional, because I do not believe all spirits are scared when they hear God’s name or whatever… Many resist, and ready to commit more damages in someone’s life.  Exorcism is practiced in different methods and religions. A Catholic priest will not perform an exorcism like a Hindu or Muslim priest. And it is not necessarily to become a priest to perform an exorcism.

Your Life After Being Possessed!

Possession! Do you know someone who has been possessed? You believe in paranormal or not, life is a mystery, science cannot answer all questions, when you do not see it does not mean it does not exist. Let’s talk on possession today, how is your life after being possessed!

I was possessed twice in my life. The first one was in 1999 when I saw my name as well as for my friends written on a crossroad. On that day, many weird things happened, a dead cat on the road, we passed near a well where a girl had committed suicide long time ago and much more… Once I returned home alone, I was not myself. I was so ill but I successfully recovered. My friends also were ill.

The second time was in 2006, when I was doing my art project for college at that time, I saw a black shadow appearing near me in a flash it disappeared. After that, again, I was not myself, I used to be bad, hate God and so on… Fortunately, I was saved by a guy who performed exorcism.

After two possessions in my life, I have changed completely. My life changed. I started asking questions with no answers, I started to involve more in paranormal, mysteries, science etc…where before I did not think about these stuffs. I started thinking more on religions, want to know the truth of many things and beliefs!I engaged my life on research,  search for truth, know other opinions and beliefs of the others, contradict, skeptic…

I do not believe in any religions as for me, religions are purely man-made, but I do believe in a supernatural force which you will call “God”. However, God is different for me, I do not believe in Satan as well. I think, possessions are caused by spirits. I do believe in afterlife but not in heaven or hell. After we die, we continue to live like we did on earth…but in another dimension. Some spirits come on earth and continue to perform their daily tasks like they were before, or simply continue to live in the same routine.

Paranormal is something that we cannot neglect. Whether you are a person who believes only in science does not mean you have all the answers. As such, meta-physics or parapsychology would not exist! So, have you been possessed in your life? And how is your life now?

A Pact With The Devil

A pact with the devil…, you have heard it many times, you are afraid when you hear this, today, I will describe some examples of why some people make a pact to the devil, including some cases.

The devil as you know is Satan, portrait in different religions as the “bad”! Demons, snakes, hell etc…these words are associated with the devil. Most religions argue the same that there is a “good” being, which is God, and a “bad” one, which is Satan. However, not everyone wants to follow God, many persons prefer to choose the path of Satan. Humanity is greedy, humans want everything on golden plate, you ask God to make you rich, to have good health, keep your family well, make you get good grades in school, but what if God does not listen to you? Does this mean the devil to the rescue? Let’s be more direct in the topic below:

What is a pact with the devil?

There are many ways to do a pact. A pact with the devil means where you give something to the devil, and the latter accomplish something for you. The process of the pact can be different, but this is the appropriate explanation I can say to make you understand.

How people make the pact?

Again, there are different ways which are as follows:

• A promise to the devil that you will give him something in return, such as to be in hell, and other related promises
• Offer the devil some stuffs like cigarettes, lemons, chili, and other offerings. This is common in Asian countries. In Western and European countries, they prefer to give whiskey, beer, and so on…
• Offer the devil your blood. A very common practice!

Examples when people make a pact

• To get someone you love, or to be forever with the person you love. Yes, in love relationship, many people do this so that they do not lose the person they are in love. In marriage also it is common.
• To make someone suffer, another common reason.
• To pass your exam, yes, perhaps you have not heard it but it is true.
• To have a job.
• To be in good health.
• To be rich.
• To be famous. Celebrities often do it.

There are many examples, overall, you make a pact to get something in return.

Is a pact with the devil dangerous?

YES! A pact with the devil is really dangerous! Well, you will do it if you are a devil worshiper but if you are not, then it may be dangerous. In fact, this can be even dangerous to devil worshipers as well. If you have made a pact with the devil, you no doubt believe in religions as the devil is originated from religions. So, your religion will crystal clear condemn you in hell. Forget about hell for a minute, but a pact with the devil can be dangerous if you do not pay back. Do not think the devil will leave you if you do not return something to him or if you have broken your promise!

Can someone break the pact with the devil in a safe way?

You can break the pact if you regret it. Search a priest, he will do the job! Mind it, you must be vigilant, do pray your God, refuge in prayer, protect yourself!
