Sailing stone

What if someone tells you that a stone can travel by its own? Of course, you will find this a crap to believe, let’s debate in brief on the sailing stone!

What is this sailing stone?

If you want to see some, go to Racetrack Playa, Death Valley. The soil is dry there, and some stones move by themselves, yes, without any intervention from a living being. You may be surprised, but relax, there are reasons for this movement.

Geology

The main reason why these stones move by themselves is from a geological manifestation. These stones do not move often, but after each several months, perhaps each 36 months minimum. Geologists believe they are moved due to the thin clay in this region with the help of a strong wind. Scientists are tracking their movements since a long time, and this what they think has happened.

Contradictions

Not all geologists agree with this solution. In that region, it is believed the wind is not so much strong to move these rocks where some of them weigh at least 200Kg. Moreover, these rocks often change position when moving, it is crystal clear, an extremely strong force must be involved.

In addition, all points from geologists and scientists are just theories and hypothesis, not facts. Thus, the movements of these stones are still a mystery.

Aliens, pranksters or ghost?

Pseudo-scientific guys argue that the stones are being moved by an unknown force, such as from ghosts. This region is good to observe the sky, because the magnificent view of our galaxy is visible, hence, some think it is a place connected to extraterrestrial beings. Finally, some think these stones are being moved by human beings. Pranksters can exist, and perform their acts in the dark.

Conclusion

We do not have a concrete reason why these stones are moving gradually. Even science cannot solve this mater rationally. And yes, we do not have any evidence that an unknown being or force is doing it as well. In the meantime, it will remain among the unsolved mysteries we have.
