Crimes can be in the circle of mysteries! Jack the Ripper, Black Dahlia case and now Zodiac Killer

Serial killers exist in most countries of the world, and United States is popular on this due to its high number of barbaric serial killers it has since years. One of the mysterious serial killers in the United States was the Zodiac killer and he committed all his massacres in California at the end of 1960s to beginning of 1970s.

We do not know how many he had killed, but it is said it could be about 37. The mysterious parts of the Zodiac Killer are the letters he used to send to 3 newspaper publishers and his identity! It is quite rare for a murderer to reveal something after killing someone. This will remind you on Jack the Ripper story at the end of 1800s.

The first contact from Zodiac was received by 3 media companies, Vallejo Times Herald, San Francisco Chronicle and San Francisco Examiner. They were 3 letters, with encrypted messages of about 400 symbols to identify Zodiac’s true identity! The coded messages he sent was decrypted later, and the authority revealed that it concerned about afterlife and his passion to kill.

More letters were received from Zodiac until 1974. The rest of them also contained coded messages, however, they had not been decrypted due to their complexity! After that, Zodiac Killer did not communicate or kill someone, even some letters were received which had been debunked as fake from experts.

We still do not know who is Zodiac killer and if he is alive or not! Perhaps he was a member in a sect, or a devil worshiper, or he had a mental problem!

  1. Your readers may be interested to learn that the “Zodiac Killer” letters and phone calls were a hoax. The actual case files in various police departments prove beyond any reasonable doubt that the person(s) who wrote those letters could not have had any connection to the actual murders. For example: “The girl [Darlene Ferrin] was wearing patterned slacks.” In fact, according to the actual police files, she was wearing a dress, NOT slacks.
