Chupacabra is a cryptid originated in North and Latin American countries which an unknown creepy creature resembles like a lizard or dog and used to create havoc by killing animals such as chickens, goats and so on.

Chupacabra is said to have enormous pines on its back, big eyes, and really bizarre in its size. This legend started creating a disaster in 1995 in a Latin American country where several animals were killed. More cases followed after that accident, what is surprising, this so-called ‘cursed dog’ creature made its apparition in other American countries. Some farmers and hunters tried to capture it which sometimes uneasy, however, a hunter did successfully manage to catch one, where the body has been sent for investigation in a biological laboratory. After immense research on this creature, biologists found a conclusion that it was coyote which has been suffered with severe mange, a skin disease that makes animal lose their fur.

Even after finding a scientific conclusion what was really the creature, more reported cases have been increased in years. Chupacabra, a legend or reality, it remains a mystery!

Jersey Devil Mystery!

Many cryptids have been discussed so far on this blog, today, let’s discuss the Jersey Devil, another scary creature which had ruined many inhabitants’ life of New Jersey in the United States!

The Jersey Devil was described as a flying creature just like a dragon with hooves, with quite long legs and wings resembled like a bat. All happened in the 1730s where a prostitute was pregnant for the 13rd time, and cursed the baby in her womb to be a devil. There are hundreds of theories to determine the origin of the Jersey Devil have been recorded, hence, we are not sure if it began from that woman or not. Even after many years, several New Jersey citizens encountered the creature, in fact, a reward has been imposed to capture it but until today, no one has successfully accomplished the job.

When we talk on Jersey devil, we think also Bigfoot, Loch Ness monster and other legendary creatures. No doubt, the Jersey devil was the same, a pure hoax and superstition created many years ago. No such solid evidences were recorded of its existence.

Black Dahlia, a nickname given to Elizabeth Short who had been mutilated and killed in 1947 in Los Angeles. Black Dahlia has been always a mystery subject for paranormal lovers because the circumstances she was killed and the killer has never been found until today!

Just like ‘Jack the Ripper‘ in the 1880s in UK who used to mutilate his victims in his killing acts, Elizabeth also was the same except it was not Jack, the killer. Her body was found by a woman who was walking with her small daughter on the street. Elizabeth was nude at the time they saw her, where her body was cut at a severe level. Just like Jack the Ripper used to send letters to the police claiming his act, for Elizabeth also it was the same but the killer here used to send the victim’s belongings to a newspaper’s editor as this case was so much publicized on media.

Again here, when in UK many persons claimed to be Jack the Ripper, in Elizabeth’s case, the same was occurred, in other words, more than 40 people claimed to be her killer. These guys called themselves the killer because many movies and novels were released based on the crime, so to become famous easily, some stupid declared they were the murderer. It is said hundreds of people were interviewed by the police, nevertheless, the real killer had never been arrested!

According to some police officers and detectives, they said it was because of the sky high media interest on the case, the killer had never been apprehended, if the media respected some rules to not publicize and invent rumors, many clues would be found which would facilitate the authorities to investigate properly to solve the murder.

More than 50 years later, the Black Dahlia mystery is still unsolved. The important part in this case, did it have a connection to Jack the Ripper massacre in UK? Perhaps time will tell us…

 

Jack the Ripper Mystery!

All people who are passionate about mysteries must know Jack the Ripper, the famous anonymous killer who jeopardized the Whitechapel district of London in the end of 1880s.

Jack normally targeted prostitutes in his killing acts, and the attacks were based on severe mutilations by removing body organs of the victims or by cutting the throat etc. According to some archives, Jack massacred only 5 women, all prostitutes, by scholars, we found also other criminal acts which were committed similarly to Jack’s methods of killing, however, the police denied at that time, they could be performed by other persons. The 5 women who had been killed, decapitated or mutilated if you prefer were as follows:

• Elizabeth Stride
• Catherine Eddowes
• Mary Jane Kelly
• Mary Ann Nichols
• Annie Chapman

Jack used to send letters to the police to claim he was the author of these pitiless crimes, but  the latter argued it was difficult at that time to know if these letters were really from the killer. Since these crimes occurred, many persons claimed they committed them without proper reasons. The police believed these letters were a hoax because journalists were so attached to this case and they could use this method to satisfy their interests. In fact, the name ‘Jack’ was originated from these letters so we still do not know if the killer’s name was real or imaginary. His famous letters were:

• Dear Boss
• Saucy Jacky
• From Hell
• Openshaw letter

Who was Jack really and what pushed him to commit these crimes only on prostitutes, was he a Satan worshiper or simply a maniac with mental disorder? Even after 100 years, this has remained a cold case, who knows, perhaps the truth will be unveiled! A last thing, we cannot portray the killer as a male when no evidence had been found, hence, a woman also could do that!

Area 51!

When you hear Area 51, two things come to your mind: Aliens and UFOs! Area 51 is so popular that we can say it should be classified among the best searchable places on the internet.

Situated in Nevada, United States, Area 51 is a military base which has been regarded to have relations with UFOs and Alien experiments after Roswell crash and from the revelations of Bob Lazar, a government scientist who worked there before.

You may find it surprising, but Area 51 is so secret and remote until the US government itself does not recognize its existence. The base has been used for several military experiments, weapons but mostly military aircraft. Examples are U-2 program, X-15 program, OXCART, F-112 project and so on. Many spy aircraft from the US army today have been designed in Area 51. Other weapons have been tested as well.

Area 51 is located in a remote area in the Nevada desert. No one can get access to it except authorized persons  The level of security is immense there and its surrounding. You can go at certain limits. There is no big barriers to prevent you, however, many warning signs and boards are placed to show you the limit you can go else you will be arrested and face justice. Security guards in jeeps with binoculars are in some specific areas where there are roads to lead to the base, to watch if anybody crosses the line. If you cross, they will no doubt follow you, and if you insist without stopping, no doubt they will shoot. Hidden security cameras are placed for greater surveillance including radar and sensors to detect any presence of human and object in prohibited areas. Verily, it is extremely hard to penetrate Area 51. You cannot see the base even on Google Earth or Map or any related software. You cannot fly over the base as well.

So, what makes Area 51 so special? Believe it or not, it is not its level of security nor because it is so secret but mostly because of the conspiracies associated with it. As stated above, Area 51 became popular after Roswell crash. According to conspiracy theorists, the UFO which had been crashed with the Alien bodies had been placed there for experiments. It is said the government is working with Alien in secrets, and many times appearances of UFOs have been noticed in that area. Bob Lazar, the government scientist who worked there claimed that the technology used in Area 51 is so advanced and he noticed a UFO in one of the hangars. Moreover, conspiracy theorists believe many secret experiments are going on there like weather control, paranormal technology etc. Scientists, engineers and other workers have their own special aircraft to transport them to Area 51. They are prohibited to talk in public and also prohibited to reveal their identity. In fact, they do not have the right to be in public. If they have health problems, they have to go to Area 51 itself. Their life may be at risk if they deliver any kind of information.

Today, many documentaries have been released on Area 51 where UFO experts, ex CIA officials, ex military officials, astronauts and others have revealed that it is true Area 51 has a link with extraterrestrial beings and UFOs. Many movies included Area 51 like Independence Day, and we have also video games without forgetting novels.

You cannot go to Area 51 even if you ask permission. Based on the conspiracies associated to it, based on its secrecy and security, it is crystal clear that something is fishy with this base. Can we say Area 51 has a relation with Aliens and UFOs? Who knows!

Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs)

Have you watched Independence Day, the movie? This movie makes you think, whether an extraterrestrial being can come with their Unidentified Flying Object (UFO) to attack earth. Let’s talk on UFO today.

Thousands and thousands of UFO sightings are reported each year! What are they? Who is the pilot? Are they human beings? It is important to note that we often associate UFO with flying saucer! A UFO does not mean it is in a ‘saucer’ shape, it can be in different shapes, sizes and colors. UFO is just an object which is unidentified as the name says.

Skeptics believe these UFO sightings are no doubt man-made objects which are often misinterpreted. In some UFO cases like the Roswell, the army declared it was a weather balloon. Other skeptics believe humans could have confused lenticular clouds to a UFO. There are hundreds of fake videos and images circulating on the internet created by advanced computer software, to make people believe they are true extraterrestrial vehicles.

However, believers in Alien do not share the same opinion of course. Conspiracy theorists believe Area 51 is a place where UFOs are being tested. The Roswell case is not a hoax at all, in fact the army did believe and reveal a true UFO was crashed then covered the matter up to a weather balloon. The UFO in China where an airport has to shut down seems not a hoax, including the famous case of Phoenix Lights where millions of people saw a giant spaceship in the state of Arizona.

One of the most opened countries when it concerns UFO matters is France. In France, a special group from the government examines the UFO sightings to solve if they are man-made objects or not. Few percentages of the sightings are unexplained. Astronauts like Edgar Mitchell strongly believe in UFO, many pilots also encountered strange objects in the sky which are impossible to exist on earth. Many radars often detect weird objects in the sky, some do not detect at all. It has been noticed countries like Mexico, United States, France, Russia, United Kingdom and China have the highest amount of recorded UFO sightings.

Missing People Cases!

We hear it often on the radio or see on television, someone has disappeared! In United States for instance, more than 10,000 people are reported missing per year.

There are several reasons why people are missing in mysterious conditions. Unfortunately, few of missing cases are solved, while many are still pending for many years. Certain persons think the disappearances are natural and human error while others do not hesitate to include the possibility of paranormal.

3 popular reasons why people are missing are stated as follows:

• Social conflicts

Many forms of social conflicts exist; kidnapping is one of the reasons which make people missing. The rise of kidnapping of young girls and children is persistent in less-developed countries. We have also human traffic. Humans are being trafficked, killed to sell their organs. In addition, another cause of missing cases in people is slavery. There are countries still practice slavery even it is illegal! Crimes and violence in societies can make people disappear by killing them.

• Personal problems

We all have problems, love, financial, parental and so on. Problems can lead us to commit dangerous act like suicide. Teenagers often have love matters, and leaving their house to establish in another country. They can change their identity as well.

• Religious and paranormal

There are cults and sects which practiced deadly rituals than can lead to death. Heaven’s Gates for example, was a cult where many adherents committed suicide. Paranormal activities like alien abductions can be included even we do not have solid evidence to responsible the mysterious disappearances of many persons. Again here, people can be kidnapped and killed for rituals.

In some countries such as France, the police often use pseudoscience to solve some cold cases such as fetching the helps of psychics. Different methods can be used by families to search a missing relative or friend. First, report the case to the nearby police. Second, make people know by transmitting the messages and photo of the victim, put on internet and so on. Try to search places which you feel the missing person could go first. Bring dogs with you. Be in a group when searching. Continue your search for weeks. Leave the rest to time and hope.

Did Aliens Visit Us Before?

According to Drake equation, it is said that there are about billions of Alien civilizations in our universe! The figures can make you scared; you may ask if Aliens have visited us before…

What is Alien? An Alien or extraterrestrial being is life outside of our world. So, it is a living being, in any form, which exists on other planets or in any place in our universe. We must not confuse Aliens with those fictional characters in Hollywood movies because if today some people are still short-minded by laughing at you when you talk on Alien, it is simply because Hollywood movies have brainwashed them. An extraterrestrial life can be a form of a bacteria, microbe, humanoid etc. We do not know as we have never met them!

The Search for Extraterrestrial Life (SETI), which was founded by some brilliant astronomers like Carl Sagan after the 1960s, has the mission to communicate with Alien through sending signals. Several signals have been sent such as the Arecibo message which is composed a description of human being, the planet we live, DNA code and much more. The message will take thousands of years to reach its destination and will take the same amount of years to come back to us. SETI is implementing more new advanced equipment to send signals. A source, the responsible person of SETI revealed that perhaps in the next 20 years, we will already have our first contact.

This universe is so huge to not believe an existence of an extraterrestrial life. We have detected hundreds of planets which are similar to us and may contain life such as Kepler and Gliese. The problem, they are too far away to reach. Most Astrophysicists and Physicists believe there is a high possibility of life in the universe apart on earth. Stephen Hawking pointed that it will be better if human beings do not make any contact with Aliens as it can be a danger but it is too late now, we have already sent signals to communicate with them!

Other factors that can support Aliens may have visited us are conspiracies! Have you watched the documentary Ancient Aliens? It clearly shows the evidences. You may not believe in them but in another perspective, it can be true. The evidences are so strong! Moreover, we have conspiracies linked to the crash of Roswell in the 1940s, Area 51 where Bob Lazar, a government scientist who worked there claimed experiments are being done with the help of extraterrestrial beings. An astronaut, Edgar Mitchell believes NASA is hiding the truth. We have also the cases of Phoenix Lights and the Unidentified Flying Object (UFO) in China where a Chinese airport has to shut down. Several UFO sightings have been reported. The list of cases goes on…

Conspiracy theorists go further to state some governments have contacted Alien beings but they are keeping this as a secret. They are working with Aliens in military purposes. Area 51 is often subjected to this conspiracy! There are certain who believe Aliens have abducted human beings. The increase in UFO sightings is persistent. Some conspiracy theorists associate the construction of Pyramids on Aliens. Do not forget, ancient civilizations like the Mayans believed in an extraterrestrial life.

The Myth Of Werewolf!

Werewolf is a cryptid creature which exists under different names in various countries. Several sightings of werewolf have been registered, but no solid proof of its existence exists.

Normally, it is said that a werewolf is a human being, who has the ability to transform into a wolf. According to the legend, you can be a werewolf if you have been bitten by another one or you can become through black magic. This makes us think of vampire, which is another legendary figure.

Others believe you can turn to a werewolf if you have been cursed at birth by a witch. This creature usually appears at night, mostly when there is the full moon to attack people. It is said, a werewolf does not attack children and woman. if you have helped a werewolf, the creature can protect you for life.

It is crystal clear this legend of werewolf does not exist in reality! There is no such creature at all. It is clearly a product from superstition since ancient eras. There are big wolves but not werewolves.

Werewolf is so famous that we have seen it in several movies and novels. Even in children films werewolf is included such as the Little Red Riding Hood! It will be unnecessary to construct traps or buy a gun to chase a werewolf because you will lose your time on something which does not exist.

The Mystery Of Mothman!

Mothman is another cryptid mystery which occurred at the end of 1960s in West Virginia! It was a being described just like man except it had wings and big eyes.

All happened when some guys were traveling by car and noticed a huge man-sized with brilliant red eyes pointing to them. They drove at the maximum speed to prevent the creature chasing them. Even we have only that experience recorded, several appearances of the Mothman had been noticed later.

Skeptics believe that it was just an misidentified large bird, or perhaps those guys were drunk. It is difficult to say this kind of creature still exists with no evidence except recorded facts based on claims. When someone talks about Mothman, it is the same like Bigfoot, Chupacabra, Jersey Devil and other cryptids. These types of creatures are described by other names in different countries. Skeptics strongly believe this myth could have been misinterpreted with other animals, perhaps an eagle or a big bird. It goes without saying perhaps the persons who witnessed it lied to get attention. Superstition is a real problem!

Since that, Mothman has appeared in many Hollywood movies and books. In United States, some areas do organize shows for this creature. A hoax or a reality, but one thing is clear, it seems this creature has not been appeared anymore after 1960s. Share your opinions on Mothman…
